The puja to a new traditional grinding stone should be offered to Ganesha and Goddess Annapurna.
Perform the puja on a Wednesday.
Place the grinding stone on the east side of the house or shop
Wash the grinding stone and apply chandan tilak on the side.
Light a diya and wave it around the grinding stone. Offer yellow flowers, dhoop, and a banana. After the puja the flowers and banana should be given away to animals.
A small portion of the first grain grinded should be offered to ants.
