Kodimoottil Bhagavathi Temple Festival – Kodimoottil Bhadrakali Temple Near Parippally – Kollam

 Kodimoottil Bhadrakali temple, popularly known as Kodimoottil Bhagavathy temple, is located two kilometers from Parippally junction in Kollam district. Kodimoottil Bhagavathy temple festival 2022 date is March 4 to March 13. The 10-day annual temple festival is held in such a manner the arattu or final day falls on Punartham nakshatra in Kumbham month.

The temple was famous for the participation of maximum elephants during festival. In one year nearly 69 elephants participated in the annual temple festival.

The main deity worshipped in the temple is Goddess Bhadrakali. In the beginning, the murti was made out of clay. Now the murti worshipped in the sreekovil is shila vigraham made out of granite stone. The deity faces north.

The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy, Durga, Shiva, Nagam, Bhuvaneshwari, Brahmarakshas, Mantra Murti, Yogeshwaran and Navagrahas.
