Kodumbu Ayyappa temple is located at Kanjirakkattu on the Wadakkanchery – Kunnamkulam road in Thrissur district, Kerala. The shrine is one among the 108 Ayyappa temples in Kerala.
The Ayyappa vigraham worshipped in the temple is swayambhu – that which appeared on its own without any human intervention. The sreekovil faces east.
It is believed that Ayyappa arrived at Kodumbu on the traditional umbrella of Pattilachan Karnavar.
The temple once belonged to Avanaprambu Mana.
