Kondazhy Tirtham Tali Shiva temple is located at Kondazhy village on Thrissur – Mayannur road in Thrissur district, Kerala. The temple is on among the famous 18 Tali temples in Kerala. In the list, this is the 18th Tali temple. It is also counted one among the 108 Shiva temples in Kerala.
The main festival observed in the temple is Shivratri. There is no separate annual festival.
The main murti worshipped in the temple is Shivling which was installed by Parashurama. The sreekovil faces east.
The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Goddess Parvati, Vishnu, Bhadrakali, Hanuman, Nagaraja, Sastha, Nagayakshi, Ganapathy, Subramaniya, Navagrahas and Brahmarakshas.
The temple was destroyed by Tipu Sultan and his army. The temple which had remained ruined for a very long time was renovated in 1990s.
The temple used to stand in a compound of 9 acres. Chirakuzhi Puzha, also known as Gayatri Puzha, a tributary of Bharathapuzha flows through the east side of the temple.
The area where the temple is located was a Namboothiri gramam (village). The temple later came under the control of the Samoothiri of Kozhikode.
