Shiva Temple at Manikaran in Himachal Pradesh is located around 45 kms from Kullu town and around 3 kms from Kasol.
Manikaran Shiva temple is believed by some scholars to bear a resemblance to the more famous temples of Bajura and Baijnath.
The temple is also interesting for having sunk a few feet into the ground, a fact attributed by local legend to the flooding of the Parvati River about a century ago.
