Pulikkode Ayyapan Kavu temple is located at Kollengode in Palakkad district, Kerala. The temple is one among the 108 Ayyappa temples in Kerala. Thottam Pattu, which narrates the 108 Sastha temples of Kerala, refers the shrine as Cherakulangara Kavu. The annual festival is held in the first week of January which corresponds to Makaram month.
The Sastha worshipped in the temple is along with Poorna and Pushkala. The deity faces east. The sreekovil of the temple is without a roof. There is a nalambalam.
The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Ganapathy and Bhagavathi.
There is a huge pond measuring 2.5 acres in front of the temple. Some people believe that the temple was first known as Chirakulam and later became Cherakulam.
The temple belonged to Venganattu Nambidi who was the king of Kollengode.
The temple came under the control of Samoothiri of Kozhikode when he captured the Kollengode kingdom. The temple festival was stopped then.
