Unni Branthan Kavu is located at Sankaramangalam on Pattambi – Perinthalmanna road in Palakkad district, Kerala. The main murti worshipped in the temple is the Vettaikaran form of Shiva. This form of Shiva is widely worshipped in north Kerala and is associated the Kirathamoorthy and Arjuna.
Puja is performed only on the first day of Malayalam month.
The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Goddess Bhadrakali, Rakshas and Nagas.
It is believed that Naranathu Branthan had performed Tapas in the Kavu.
The sacred grove is noted for rare fauna and flora.
