Vishnu Temple is located at Chini on the outskirts of Kalpa town in Kinnaur – Himachal Pradesh. The temple is around 13 kms from Reckong Peo.
Chini Vishnu temple has two buildings, both made of wood and with gabled roofs. One of the buildings serves as a mandapa, while the other rests on carved wooden pillars. The Vishnu shrine is beautiful and painted blue.
A building in the Vishnu –Narayana compound houses the palanquins of the deities, beautifully maintained, as well as musical instruments used to celebrate and worship the gods.
Locals believe that a bhoot or ghost resides in the complex.
