Anirudheswaram Temple is located around 3 km from Thiruvalla at Azhiyidathuchira (Peringara Village) in Pathanamthitta district, Kerala. Anirudheswaram temple festival 2021 date is from January 11 to January 18. The temple is on the Kavumbhagam – Idinjillam – Changanassery road. The shrine is dedicated to Shiva.
The sanctum sanctorum of the temple was facing east in the beginning but it was later changed to west.
The Upa Devatas worshipped in the temple are Sastha and Ganapathi.
There is also a separate temple dedicated to Balakrishna form of Krishna in the temple compound.
The 8-day annual festival in the temple is observed in such a manner that it ends with Arattu on the Pooyam nakshatra in Makaram month.
The temple once belonged to Azhiyidathu Madom.
