Shiva temple at Harsar village is around 12 kms from Bharmour in Himachal Pradesh. A short distance beyond Bharmour, in the direction of the holy Manimahesh Lake, and the last stop before the Manimahesh pilgrimage trek is the village of Harsar.
The small Shiva temple at Harsar has a brass murti of Shiva, a bust with two arms. The murti is dated to 16th – 17th centuries.
Harsar has some lovely walks, along the Budhil tributary, the landscape clear for miles. The annual pilgrimage to the Manimahesh lake set at an altitude of 4,183 m takes place in August – September after Janmashtami.
