Trilochan Mahadev temple is located around 28 kms from Chamba town in Himachal Pradesh. The temple is located on the Ravi riverbed.
Trilochan Mahadev temple comprises a rock on the banks of Ravi River with a large murti (statue of Shiva) in meditation posture. He is seated on Padmasana posture with his Trishul standing nearby. Nandi is on the right side of the murti. Ganga River is seen clearly sprouting and flowing down from the matted locks of Shiva. The murti is seated on tiger skin with the head of tiger depicted clearly.
The rock on which Shiva is meditating is the body of Trilochan, an ardent devotee of Shiva, who died jumping in the Ravi River.
