Kakkad Mahavishnu temple, also known as Vavillam temple, is located at Madikai in Kasaragod district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Bhagavan Vishnu. The main deity faces east and there are no Upa Devatas in the temple.
As per history of the Kakkad Vishnu Temple, the shrine first belonged to Vavillathu Kudumbam. Later it was maintained and owned by Oravillam.
The temple is around 12 km southeast of Kanhangad and 8 km east of Hosdurg.
