Chakkuvarakkal Indilayappan temple is located at Chakkuvarakkal in Kollam district, Kerala. The temple is dedicated to Shiva and Bhagavan Vishnu. The annual Shivratri festival, observed in Kumbha Masam (Feb – March), is of great importance in the temple.
Both Shiva and Vishnu temples do not have a roof. A Shivling is worshipped in the Shiva temple and a chatur bahu murti of Vishnu Bhagavan in the Vishnu temple.
The shrine has a namaskara mandapam and other shrines for upa devatas.
Pradosham, Mondays, and Thiruvathira in Dhanu masam are of importance here. Vishu and Ramayana Masam are also observed.
The annual Shivratri festival includes abhishekam, dhara, and various homams.
